Directions for Topical Use: Dilute Lime essential oil (2–3%) with a carrier oil before topical application to minimize any skin sensitivity. As Lime oil is a citrus oil, avoid direct sun exposure after application to prevent photosensitivity.
How to Use Lime Oil:
- Aromatherapy: Add a few drops of Lime essential oil to a diffuser or oil burner to infuse your space with an uplifting aroma, while cleansing the air. Alternatively, inhale directly from the bottle or a tissue for respiratory support and therapeutic benefits.
- Skincare: Mix 2–5 drops of Lime essential oil with 1 teaspoon of a carrier oil. Apply to skin for toning and purification.
- Hair Care: Blend with a carrier oil (2–5% dilution) and massage into scalp. Leave on for 15–30 minutes before rinsing. It can also be added to shampoos or conditioners.
- Pain Relief (Massages): Combine with a carrier oil and massage into areas of muscle tension or soreness. Add a few drops to a warm bath for full-body relief.
- Respiratory Support: Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water infused with Lime oil. Cover your head with a towel and breathe deeply to ease congestion.
- Natural Cleaning: Mix several drops into a blend of water, vinegar, or alcohol (5–20% dilution) for a fresh, natural surface cleaner.
Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if any irritation occurs. Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be mixed with a carrier oil (2-5% of essential oil in 95-98% of carrier oil) before applying on the skin.
