Turmeric essential oil is a 100% pure, natural extract obtained through steam distillation of the rhizome (root) of the Curcuma longa plant. Native to South Asia and widely used in Sri Lanka for culinary, cosmetic, and medicinal purposes, this herb is rich in curcumin known for its potent anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. Directions for Topical Use:
Dilute Turmeric essential oil (2–3%) with a carrier oil before topical application to minimize any skin sensitivity. Always perform a patch test before use.

How to Use Turmeric Oil:

  1. Aromatherapy
    Add a few drops to a diffuser or oil burner to purify and cleanse the air, and support emotional clarity and immunity. Turmeric essential oil can be used as a standalone product or mixed with other essential oils to create essential oil blends. 

  2. Skincare: Mix 2–5 drops of Turmeric oil with a teaspoon of carrier oil. Apply to skin to reduce blemishes, even tone, and promote a healthy glow. 

  3. Hair Care: Blend with a carrier oil and massage into the scalp to reduce dandruff and soothe scalp irritation. Leave on for 15–30 minutes before washing out. Add to your shampoo or conditioner for added benefits.

  4. Pain Relief (Massage): Dilute with a carrier oil and massage into sore joints and muscles. Add a few drops to warm bathwater to soothe fatigue and body pain.

  5. Natural Cleaning: Mix with water and vinegar or alcohol (5–20% dilution) to create an effective natural cleaner for kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Turmeric oil effectively cleanses and disinfects surfaces when used in household cleaning. 

  6. Insect Repellent: Spray a blend of Turmeric oil and water onto surfaces or skin to deter flies naturally. 

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes. Discontinue use if any irritation occurs. Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be mixed with a carrier oil (2-5% of essential oil in 95-98% of carrier oil) before applying on the skin.
