Origin: Rhassoul Clay (Sometimes called Moroccan Clay or Ghassoul Clay) is a nude coloured clay found in the valleys of Atlas mountains of Morocco, formed as a result of volcanic eruptions. The term “Rhassoul” means “to wash” in Arabic. The people of Morocco have used Rhassoul Clay since the eighth century to cleanse their skin and keep it radiant. Rhassoul Clay is a type of stevensite, a magnesium-rich clay that contains several other minerals. Rhassoul clay, like any other clay, is full of metallic elements that carry a negative charge. This magnetic energy draws out positively charged toxins and bonds to them so that when the clay is washed away, the toxins purportedly go with it.Suggested Use: While it will still absorb oils from the skin, it is much gentler than many other clays and is typically recommended for more sensitive or dry skin types. Apply a sparely thin layer (mixed with lukewarm water) on skin or hair and rinse well after 5-10 minutes.
